Brand values get chocolate coating
As the credit crunch begins to bite, one promotional chocolate producer is making quality-conscious companies still have something to chew on!
Sweetthoughts.co.uk has just introduced changes to its production processes that will ensure the very finest chocolates and packaging remain within reach for companies looking to trim the promotions budget. The main change at the Lincolnshire-based company has been the introduction of a new four-colour digital printing system.
The new print option has enabled sweetthoughts.co.uk to cut its minimum order quantities on many of its quality chocolate products and therefore enable existing and new customers to maintain the quality of its gifts and still remain on the right side of new expenditure limits.
Explained Sales and Marketing Manager at sweethoughts.co.uk, Carol Oldbury: "The new digital printing process is already proving very popular, especially at the high quality end of the market where customers clearly do not want to downgrade to an inferior product, either in the chocolate or the packaging. The option of smaller runs is a much more appealing alternative."
However, recent enquiries and orders at sweetthoughts.co.uk indicate that rather than cutting back on their chocolate gifts many customers are actually looking to upgrade their offerings and requesting ever more luxurious packaging to compliment the goodies inside. Said Carol: "Our packaging has always been of a very high specification but we are now making even better boxes and adding more ribbons and higher quality linings - customers are very keen to endorse their brand image through their promotional chocolates. "
Sweetthoughts.co.uk are also finding the attention to detail in their chocolate advent calendars continues to be popular in these difficult times. The superior quality chocolates made by sweetthoughts.co.uk's own chocolatiers in Lincolnshire, combined with a glossy print finish of the calendar is already generating high order volumes in readiness for the festive season.
